'Imagining the teary eyes of my loved ones being left behind has saved my life many times'
A North Belfast man has opened up about his battle with mental health issues, in hope that he may help others.
"I attempted suicide at 13 and have been battling with PTSD ever since. I started to feel like things would never change, and I started to question if life was worth living. He says he developed "a bit of an obsession" with music because it was able to pull him through some very hard times. He channelled his own experiences into music, and began to write his own songs."That was amazing, to turn my struggled around, and to help others. Thinking back, if I had of taken my own life, I would have missed out on all of the experiences I have been through since.
"Looking back, it is scary to think of that evening when I made an attempt at my life. I now realise that I could have missed out on so much in life. I want people to know that, so that they can hold on, to know there are brighter days ahead.
