Capri was just 19-years-old when she graduated from the prestigious Stanford University, with a degree and two masters.and poor work-life balance, she decided to switch it up. She wrote a cook book, United We Eat, and started a radio show about food and culture.
Later on, as my career took shape, I focused my efforts on health policy and helping older adults, as I’d been a carer for my grandfather who had Alzheimer’s. I first ran for office when I was 26 and lost, but came back two years later. For the following decade I served in the place I was born and raised, in the Ohio Senate.My home state of Ohio has mandated term limits so I could only serve for 10 years.
After five years of working almost seven days a week and travelling between Ohio, Washington, DC and New York, I decided I wanted a better work-life balance.I was one of the youngest women to run for office the time I first ran 19 years ago.
