“I’ll do anything for fashion,” says the super as she recounts her most memorable transformations.
Life In Looks video, the super dispels the myth that models get to keep the clothes they sell on the runway. They do not. But, during her, there have been some looks that were too good to let go of. Her favourite? The directional tartan pieces and staggering platforms – “you have to make sure your core is very developed” – from Vivienne Westwood’s autumn/winter 1993 “Anglomania” show. “It served full fashion”, and, accordingly, “needs to be in a museum.
Designers loved dressing Linda because, she admits: “I’ll do anything for fashion.” She would stand in place for hours and hours for Azzedine Alaïa while he built dresses on her body, never flinching from the pins . “There are designers who don’t touch the clothes,” she shares. “Azzedine wouldn’t let anyone touch his creations.”
