Exclusive: Tom Holland discusses the challenges of The Crowded Room and the possibility of taking on another television series in the future.
Tom Holland discusses the possibility of doing more television series after The Crowded Room. Holland became a household name playing Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, in the MCU. Holland both stars in and serves as an executive producer for The Crowded Room, a psychological thriller following Danny Sullivan, based on the real Billy Milligan, who has been accused of a shooting at Rockefeller Center.
During an exclusive interview with Screen Rant for The Crowded Room, Holland addressed the possibility of doing another television series. He revealed that while The Crowded Room was difficult, he is open to returning to the small screen again, and that he is continuously looking for new challenges that push him. SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Tom Holland: I think the thing for me is: I just love a challenge. I love something new. I love something that's going to push me in ways I haven't been pushed before. I really try to live by the idea of putting yourself in uncomfortable situations, [and] becoming comfortable with that kind of stress. And Crowded Room kind of offered everything that I was looking for.
I'd never say never to doing TV again. I'd be lying if I said that The Crowded Room didn't absolutely break me, so I'd be a little bit hesitant getting back into it. But I'm really proud of the final result and would definitely consider doing something like this again.
Holland will inevitably return to the big screen with Spider-Man 4 in development for the MCU, but perhaps more intriguing is whether he wants to continue working in television. The Crowded Room is able to show Holland's depth of character and how he approaches a longer narrative. Hopefully, he returns to both the big and small screen after taking a hard-earned break as he tackles different stories and characters with each of his characters.
