John Carpenter, the director of the 1982 sci-fi horror classic The Thing, teases that a direct sequel could potentially be on the horizon.
More than 40 years after the original film, director John Carpenter teases that The Thing 2 might actually happen. Released in 1982, The Thing follows a research team in Antarctica as they are hunted by an alien that can adopt the appearances of its victims. A prequel to the sci-fi horror classic was released in 2011, but the film earned mostly negative reviews from critics and was a box office bomb.
