Christmas By the Sea has transformed Tower Festival Headland into a winter wonderland ✍️ DeniseKEvans
Attending a Christmas Market every year is a tradition for me, almost a right of passage. I am not naïve, I know that the food and drink at these 'festive villages' would probably set me back half the price any other time of year, but I am relatively content with spending it anyway.
But here, I have been tasked with keeping to a budget of £20, which may appear a generous, but as I have aforementioned, I was not actually expecting to come away with a sack load of stuff, especially after reading previous stories of prices at other markets in the north west, where a bratwurst and beer can set you back £25.
I had the beef wrap with stuffing and gravy. It was filling, the meat tender and juicy and basically like shoving every element of a Sunday roast in my gob at the same time. Alongside hot dishes and drinks, with two bars serving a range of alcoholic drinks and soft drinks available at most of the food stalls, there's also a number of desserts and sweet treats on offer. All can be enjoyed inside a large, covered Bavarian-style beer hall cabin. No alcohol can be taken away and must be consumed onsite.
