You never quite know what half-term will bring do you, but freefalling 100 feet through a trapdoor wasn't exactly on my to-do list.
The tower itself offers glorious views over the Conwy valley, it's just a bit tricky concentrating on that when all you can think about is that impending drop. I screamed just watching the first member of our group fall through the door and I didn't even know him, so there was little chance of me falling silently and gracefully through the air.
Don't get me wrong, it's fast and you head high up the track for the ride on the UK's only alpine coaster, but it's firmly bums on seats and you control your own brakes to slow things down if you want.
