The city’s licensing committee heard how Paul Chalmers had been convicted of three offences last year. He failed to tell theCouncillors decided to remove him from the register of private landlords after ruling he no longer remained a “fit and proper” person to rent property in the city.had informed the council that Mr Chalmers had been charged and convicted.
Cllr Alex Wilson, the licensing committee chairman, asked Mr Chalmers why he had not informed the council’s landlord registration unit about his conviction. He said he had updated the registration unit since he was released. “I am very ashamed and remorseful,” he added.
