Jaxport, Jax International remain open as Ian approaches Florida

With Hurricane Ian rapidly approaching Florida shores, logistics and shipping companies are preparing for the storm.

"First and foremost, we're responsible for the safety of our employees and the safety of our drivers. We have drivers all over the country, so we monitor throughout all 48 states to proactively communicate to our driving fleet potential issues, potential challenges, things they might want to avoid," said AGX COO Ike Sherlock."We're brokering freight all over the country as well.

For both companies, a main line of thought is keeping the business moving without too many road blocks due to the storm. With emergency preparedness and disaster plans to help plan ahead of events like this, the companies are optimistic about the future and ability to keep pushing through. Jaxport remains open without restrictions. Updates from the port can be found at https://www.jaxport.com/ian-update/
