A murder investigation has been launched after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in a"targeted attack" in Cambridge.

Officers are searching for the attacker who struck in the mid-afternoon at Logan's Meadow, a small nature reserve next to the River Cam.Despite the efforts of emergency workers, the teenager was declared dead, Cambridgeshire Constabulary said. Detective Superintendent Carl Foster, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit, said police are following several leads but believe the attack was"targeted".He said:"While we are unable to confirm the cause of death until a post-mortem examination has been conducted, we believe the boy was stabbed in a targeted attack.
