Power cut shuts down London: Up to 38,000 customers affected
The outage ripped across London causing chaos as internet and lights went out. People working from home were helpless as they're unable to log on computers.
Others said the power surge had reached as far as Wimbledon and Cricklewood. Officials said that it was caused by a fault on a high voltage underground cable. Meanwhile a blaze started at electrical substation, shutting Rotherhithe Tunnel
