Huawei's revenues topped $100 billion for the first time in 2018 driven by strong growth in the consumer business, although the carrier division declined slightly.
Huawei's revenue grew 19.5 percent in 2018, surpassing $100 billion for the first time, despite continuing political headwinds from around the world.
Sales in its carrier business, which is its core networking equipment arm, reached 294 billion yuan, slightly below the 297.8 billion yuan recorded in 2017. While some countries such as Germany have defied the U.S., others such as Australia and United Kingdom have taken a cautious approach toward the company.
"We understand these concerns and take them very seriously," Huawei said in a statement on Thursday, adding that it will continue to work with the U.K. government in addressing the issues raised.
