HPInc. launched a flurry of new personal computers, including devices intended to address the opportunity in generative-artificial-intelligence content creation.
At an event called HP Imagine held at HP’s headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., the company unveiled a software platform to be launched next year called the “Z by HP AI Studio.” The company said the AI Studio software is intended to make it easier for people to collaborate and create AI development projects.
HP also debuted an AI workstation that it says “simplifies building and customizing private AI models and applications.” HP said it would offer the first workstations to feature the Nvidia AI enterprise software platform. In a presentation, Alex Cho, president of HP’s Personal Systems business, talked about the coming era of AI PCs with the ability to run AI inferencing software locally. Intel talked extensively about the same idea at a recent developer event.
Other new products include the HP Spectre Foldable PC, which the company says will be “the world’s thinnest” 17-inch foldable personal computer, new all-in-one PCs, an expanded set of HyperX branded computer peripherals, and new meeting room conferencing systems, among other products.
