Only two of the 11 acts that performed on the show on Tuesday will move on to the finals.
Competing Tuesday in addition to James were Amanda Mammana, Celia Muñoz, Funkanometry, Hayden Kristal, JoJo and Bri, Mia Morris, MPLUSPLUS, Nicolas RIBS, Cline Twins and XOMG Pop!
Four acts have previously been named finalists - Drake Milligan and his band, Avery Dixon, Chapel Hart and Yu Hojin. A total of 55 acts were selected for the live rounds with 11 performing each week. Only two of the 11 acts that perform each week will move directly to the finale - one from the viewer overnight vote and the second being chosen by the judges from the acts that placed in second, third and fourth places.
The top 11 finalists then will compete for America’s vote and the $1 million prize during the finale, Sept. 13-14. The winner will also perform in “America’s Got Talent Las Vegas LIVE” at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
