Performers will compete for the $1 million grand prize. After the auditions, six weeks of live shows will air from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium beginning 8-10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22 . Results shows will air at 8 p.m. Wednesdays, NBC said.
