The watchOS 9 feature can help an older Apple Watch eke along.
As with the iPhone version, you’ll be automatically prompted to turn on Low Power Mode once your battery power hits 10 percent. But some people, especially those with Ultras, might want to be more intentional in how they use the feature — for example, if they’re participating in an Ironman and need at least 12 hours or so of GPS and activity tracking. On the Ultra, Apple says Low Power Mode can stretch battery life up to 60 hours.
Swipe up to access it, then find the battery percentage tile and tap it.to turn it on. You’ll then see an explainer about which features are turned off in this mode, which will pop up each time you toggle it on.The former enables the mode for an indefinite period.
