The search for the Titan submersible is entering a critical stage 🔎 This is how much oyxgen the missing sub could have left, and what experts say the five people onboard could do to conserve it

had planned to start its dive at 9am GMT on Sunday, according to the Facebook page of British billionaire Hamish Harding, one of the five people onboard.Rescue teams are continuing the search for the submersible tourist vessel which went missing during a voyage to the Titanic shipwreck about one hour and 45 minutes into the voyage around 435 miles south of St John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, according to the crew of the Polar Prince research vessel from where the sub was launched.

On Monday night around 9pm GMT, Rear Admiral John W Mauger, of the US Coast Guard, said they were combing an area 900 miles east of Cape Cod alongside Canadian armed forces and commercial vessels.On Tuesday evening around 6pm UK time, US Coast Guard official Captain Jamie Frederick said data showed there was about 41 hours of oxygen left for the five people inside.

Asked about dwindling oxygen levels, Captain Frederick said: “Oxygen is just one piece of data. There are lots of pieces of data that we need to study. But is not the only thing that’s important.”had 96 hours of oxygen inside when it started its dive its breathable air is likely to run out at some point on Thursday.
