A new image from How I Met Your Father season 2 reveals a glimpse into a major moment from an upcoming episode. The series, which is a spin-off of the popular CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother that premiered on Hulu in January, is due to return with season 2 starting on January 24, 2023.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Today, TVLine shared an exclusive first-look photo from How I Met Your Father season 2. The image reveals that season 1's hijinks aren't going to let up any time soon, as Sophie seems to be answering the phone while drenched in a kiddie pool placed in the middle of the kitchen.
However, that's not to say that the plot will ever come to a standstill, as the above image reveals. At this point, most of the potential fathers are still in the mix, including fan-favorite Jesse , Sid , and Charlie . Josh Peck, whose recurring character Drew dated Sophie across several episodes, will also be returning in some capacity for season 2. The rest of the non-father main cast will also be returning, including Cattrall, Raisa, and Tien Tran as Jesse's sister Ellen.
So far, there is no word as to whether any new How I Met Your Mother cameos will be appearing in How I Met Your Father. In addition to the appearance of several recurring characters, the spinoff series also wrangled a cameo from main cast member Cobie Smulders as Robin Scherbastsky, leading fans to speculate if any more main cast cameos are coming from Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan, Jason Segel, or Neil Patrick Harris.
