Houston weather will be a roller coaster before reaching a pleasantly cool weekend.
A mild night is in store. There will be some clouds and temperatures will stay in the 60s.The day will be partly cloudy and warmer than Tuesday, with highs in the low 80s. Some showers are possible in the afternoon.The last two days of the work week could bring severe weather to the Houston region. Thunderstorms will threaten the region starting Thursday afternoon, with the greatest threat of strong storms being near College Station and Livingston.
By Friday, the storm threat will move further south, but the greatest threat still be north of Interstate 10. Warm temperatures are also expected to peak on Friday. By Saturday, a cold front will drop high temperatures back into the 70s and upper 60s. On Sunday, overnight low temperatures might fall back into the 40s, according to the weather service.
