The suspect in Bishop David O'Connell's death was identified as Carlos Medina, 65, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said.
The suspect was identified as 65-year-old Carlos Medina of Torrance, who authorities said is the husband of Bishop David O'Connell's housekeeper "who has previously done work at the bishop's residence" and "drove a similar SUV to the one previously seen in the driveway of the bishop's residence."A person has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of an auxiliary bishop in Hacienda Heights, law enforcement officials confirmed Monday.

O'Connell's death prompted words of grief and solace from city officials and other notable figures, including former L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti."It broke me and I was scared to tell my wife because my wife loved him so much," said parishioner Johnny Flores."He was not the type that would have confrontations with nobody," she said. "He was very loving, and he had like a gift of healing. When you would attend his ceremonies, it was like a gift of healing.
