WASHINGTON—The House approved a bill Wednesday that includes paid parental leave for federal workers, the creation of the U.S. Space Force and new sanctions related to Russia’s energy ambitions.
Lawmakers passed the $738 billion National Defense Authorization Act, 377 to 48. The NDAA is an annual Department of Defense bill that establishes funding levels and sets policies for the Defense Department and the Energy Department’s national-security programs.
