Virginia's Republican-controlled House of Delegates and Democratic-controlled Senate are cancelling out one another in considering controversial issues.
The House on Thursday passed a pair of bills aimed at restricting access to the ballot box, including shortening the period of early in-person voting and eliminating ballot drop boxes. Similar measures have already died in the Senate, however, and these latest bills are likely to meet the same fate there.
“I really think the idea that you would abort a baby that can live if it was given to the NICU [neonatal intensive care unit] is unsupportable,” she said.
