The Hornets winger missed tonight’s 1-1 draw at Birmingham City with what the club described as a “minor hamstring complaint” sustained in the 1-0 victory over Burnley.
The Watford head coach reiterated that he expects Sarr to be fit for Saturday’s trip to Preston North End before he was asked about reports that the Eagles are preparing to make a move to sign the 24-year-old. Edwards explained he couldn’t comment on the claims, which emerged during the draw at St Andrew's, because he had been concentrating on the game, but said: “I’ve said from the very beginning I expected there to be some movement. We’ve got some very good players at this club and we’re well prepared for any eventuality.
“ Dennis went and Keinan Davis has come in and I think I need to stress that we’re in a really good place at the moment, I feel like we’re in control of everything, but we’ve got good footballers and there’s going to be speculation.”
