Hope is finally on the horizon for traders of one of Preston city centre's most important streets as roadworks are due to finish on Friargate.
Lancashire County Council has previously said the regeneration will encourage more people to use Friargate and the town centre and that it will help to generate more potential customers. But the works have significantly overrun, badly affecting the footfall of the existing businesses.
