West Lindsey District Council served the Home Office and its contractors with a temporary stop notice banning work on certain parts of the former Dambusters base
once home to the Red Arrows and the Dambusters, have sparked a bitter feud between the Government and locals who fear it will scupper a £300m regeneration programme.

It is an offence under section 171G of the Town and Country Planning Act to contravene a temporary stop notice, with anyone convicted of an offence liable for a fine.
