Hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide Holdings handed Tesla another charging win. It’s different from recent Tesla charging victories, but it’s still good for Tesla, and for everyone else selling electric vehicles in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Range anxiety—the fear of running low on power with nowhere to recharge—continues to be a factor in EV purchases. But more infrastructure along highways and at hotels can help drivers overcome their fears. One standard makes it easier for companies such as Hilton to make decisions on charging infrastructure.
Hilton stock is down 1% on a weak day for markets. The S&P 500 is off 0.6%, and the Nasdaq Composite is down 1.3%. Tesla stock is down 2.2% at $246.31.
