She was injured during a game Monday night and reportedly died Wednesday.
Per reports, Linda Gregory and her husband, Mel, have been shooting photos for Wichita Northwest’s football team for years. During Monday night’s game she was reportedly run into by players, causing her to fall and hit her head on some concrete along the track.
“Thank you for the outpouring of respect and love,” the account wrote in the comments. “She was a special person who loved life and photography. She starting out in a new direction of photography and it was so much fun watching the eyes light up and the excitement build. We are blessed to have had her for these years.
“The loss is a painful one for our team and my family, but we can only hope to learn from this tragic event,” he added. “Linda and Mel have planted themselves into our Northwest community and we will never forget Linda! She left this world what she loved to do and that was being around people and expressing herself with pictures! We will be keeping her spirit alive in our program and will be wearing LG stickers on our helmets to always remind of our number one fan.
“These are the most genuine, polite, kind, giving, whole-hearted people,” he wrote. “Prayers out to you and your wonderful wife, Mel Gregory.”
