Patients will be able to get scans to check for life-threatening diseases at a new health centre if plans are approved, the NHS has said.The building would be equipped to carry out MRI and CT scans under the plans. The centre would be "critical" in easing pressure on the diagnostics department at Hereford County Hospital, the trust said in its application.
The two-storey building would have a car park alongside it and the site had the potential to be expanded in the future, the trust added. Alternative sites in former shops in the centre of Hereford had been dismissed, the application said, due to how much it would cost to refit them to house medical equipment.
