CLEVELAND, Ohio -- If you were planning to tune into tonight’s Browns game on “Monday Night Football” hoping to see the team fight for a playoff spot, well, in the famous words of Frank Drebin, “Nothing to see here. Move along.”
But there’s at least one other reason to watch besides what likely will be Ben Roethlisberger’s last home game with the Steelers: Manning Cast.Peyton and Eli Manning will be back on ESPN2 for their alternate and, many say, more entertaining edition of “Monday Night Football” starting at 8:13 p.m.
“Manning Cast” has been a hit in its first season, as viewers have enjoyed watching the Super Bowl-winning ex-quarterbacks dissect the game, share behind-the-scenes stories and shoot the breeze with the likes of LeBron James, Condoleeza Rice, Tom Brady and David Letterman, among others. Still, if you prefer the traditional broadcast, play-by-play announcer Steve Levy, analysts Brian Griese and Louis Riddick and sideline reporter Lisa Salters will call the game on ESPN starting at 8 p.m. The broadcast will be simulcast locally on WKYC Channel 3, too.
