Aidy Bryant's 'Shrill' is back in January on Hulu, and will be joined by Season 2 of Lodge 49 (which was just canceled but is still well worth watching).
That would be the second season of “Shrill” , the critically acclaimed comedy starring “Saturday Night Live’s” Aidy Bryant, about the personal and professional travails of a plus-sized woman who’s unashamed of her body and determined to stop being a doormat.
Hulu will also start seeing the benefits from last year’s purchase of Fox Entertainment by Walt Disney Co. DIS, -0.08% , as it becomes the new streaming home to FX shows. That transition will become complete in March, but a trio of older FX shows will make their Hulu debuts in January: the binge-worthy legal thriller “Damages,” Denis Leary’s firefighter drama “Rescue Me" and the excellent modern-day Western “Justified” .
The streaming service will also add two of the best — and quirkiest — shows of 2019, with Season 2 of AMC’s “Lodge 49” and Season 3 of IFC’s “Brockmire” .
