Well, it's not like anyone important has died yet, but we appreciate the effort to show anyone can be killed now in this final episode. Except everyone who's moving onto another show, of course.
Surrounded by walkers, possibly of the smart variety, Gabriel, Eugene, and Rosita climb up a gutter to escape. But Rosita, carrying her child, suddenly falls directly into the outstretched arms of zombies galore. Oh, also, Eugene points out to Rosita that swimming is healthy for kids. Thank goodness time was dedicated to this conversation instead of something banal like, oh, we don't know, some kind of resolution for all the other main characters who don't really get a proper ending?Crucially though, Judith also reveals to Daryl that Michonne never came back because she found out Rick might be alive somewhere:"I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before. I was scared you’d leave too.
Mercer confronts his former boss, Pamela, in the safety of her posh estate while a bunch of innocents/walker snacks bang on the big metal doors from outside. Conveniently enough, the walkers show up then, presumably because they're smart now and could spot this buffet from a mile away.Gabriel decides to go open the gates, but just as Pamela's about to order his death, Daryl gives a real quick speech, knowing that time is precious in this finale.
