While temperatures hit 28C this week, the sun isn't guaranteed to stick around
Greater Manchester has been hit by a heatwave, bringing with it highs of 28C so far this week. According to the latest Met Office forecast, the hot spell is expected to last until Sunday.
Unfortunately, the cloud will continue into Thursday . No sunshine is predicted to break through, meaning it might be quite a dull, but warm - and most importantly, dry - day. However, the sunshine will return on Friday , with sunny intervals and spells of pure sunshine forecast. Temperatures will peak at 25C.
He said: "While the highest temperatures are expected in the south, heatwave conditions are likely across much of England and Wales especially, with parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland also likely to see some unseasonably high temperatures.”
