, Koresh promise to leave the premises without engaging in further bloodshed in a tape that was broadcast by Dallas radio station KRLD. "I, David Koresh, agree upon the broadcast of this tape to come out peacefully with all the people. Immediately," the tape said. Koresh did not exit or end the standoff peacefully. Two women, who were later charged with murder due to the initial shootout, and eight children were released early Tuesday with a recorded tape that would be played on-air.
The FBI disconnects electricity again, causing a "huge, huge setback" with the Davidians, many of whom change their minds about coming out.A member of the Davidians claims that people inside the compound are cold. Koresh is informed that his mother has retained attorneys to represent him. The FBI begins illuminating the compound with bright lights to "disrupt sleep, to put additional pressure on those inside and to increase the safety of the HRT.
There are two more meetings between Koresh and police officials. Two independent religion experts appear on Ron Engelman's talk shot interpreting the Book of Revelations as it relates to the standoff.Koresh meets with his legal representation and confirms that the Davidians will surrender after Passover.The FBI continues to broadcast music through the night.Friday, April 9, 1993
Koresh sends a letter calling himself "Yahweh" and tells the FBI that the "heavens are calling you to judge." Experts analyze the letters and conclude that Koresh may be mentally unwell and have no plans of leaving. Koresh shares a message proclaiming that he won't surrender until he writes a manuscript explaining the Seven Seals. The FBI determines that the Davidians have a water supply that could last for a year with rationing and discipline efforts.Officials become convinced that negotiators won't be able to get the Davidians to surrender through negotiation.Koresh informs negotiators that he has completed the manuscript on the First Seal.
