U.S. News released its ranking of New Jersey's best maternity hospitals.
The ranking was based on a number of categories, including patient outcomes, nurse staffing, patient services, certain surgeries and technology. overall top-ranked hospitalIt earned a score of 72.7 and was “above average” in patient experience and 30-day survival .
The hospital scored “high” in number of patients, “average” in 30-day survival and patient experience and “poor” in discharging patients to home. Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center scored a 46.1. It earned a “very high” in number of patients and “above average” in patient experience.The hospital earned an “excellent” rating in advanced technologies and patient services and “above average” in nurse staffing.
Virtua Voorhees was “average” in the number of patients and 30-day survival and “poor” in discharging patients to home.
