Steamy summer weather conditions continue to engulf the New York City metro area Thursday -- as a heat advisory is up for parts of the region.
While a few spotty showers may be possible between now and Friday, the likelihood of storms increases Saturday with better chances Sunday. Additionally, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos and State Department of Health Commissioner Dr. James McDonald issued an Air Quality Health Advisory. The advisory is in effect 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. on Thursday.
