The opening scene begins with some Polaroid pictures of Nick and Charlie together and looking very loved-up. The camera then pans to Charlie asleep in bed, who gets woken up by his alarm and a good morning message from Nick on Instagram.Maggie Rogers's 'Shatter'
song kicks in, accompanying a montage of Charlie getting dressed for school and replying to Nick's messages. "Good morning boyfriend," he replies with a love heart emoji. Charlie stays glued to his phone and the ongoing online conversation with Nick, as he tucks into breakfast, travels to school on the bus and jumps off just outside the entrance of Truham Grammar School.
