Rowland owned and operated a number of well known clubs in Merseyside
Son of well-known Liverpool bouncer and former Cavern Club owner Roy Adams, Rowland followed in his dad's footsteps and ran several clubs around Southport. Rowland along with his family operated some of the most popular clubs in Sefton during the 80s and 90s including The Kingsway, West End Club, Ainsdale’s Toad Hall, and Formby’s Shorrocks Hill Country Club.
Another person said: "So sorry to hear this. I spent many a happy evening in the Kingsway late 80s and 90s. Roland were good friends of my late dad, so I’d like to think they’re all busy reminiscing about the glory days of the Merseyside club scene right now. Condolences to his family." His father Roy was the last owner of the original Cavern, looked after doors, and ran nightclubs, dancehalls, restaurants, and country clubs between 1957 and 1999.
