"Lucy," a distorted, electric guitar-heavy song, features evocative lyrics about dancing with the devil, or a dude with"the face of an angel," and the"heart of something less nice." In a statement, Allison elaborated on the song's eerie, gothic elements, which differ from her past lovestruck offerings.
Allison and her band are currently supporting Vampire Weekend on the North American leg of their Father of the Bride fall tour. They are set to open for Wilco in a string of five performances next month."Lucy" is now available to stream but will also be released as a limited-edition 7'' vinyl via Loma Vista Recordings later this year.
