“We offer excellent opportunities, incentives and supports for those interested in working in health care in Saskatchewan, including internationally trained health care professionals,” Everett Hindley, minister of rural and remote health, seniors, mental health and addictions, said in a press release.Article content
The call-out was placed in early September and applications are still being accepted. The government notes that training, licensing and relocation supports are available for internationally educated health workers currently living in the province or arriving from overseas. That assessment asks for details such as resident status, education and previous health care employment, among other questions. Later in the year, four health navigators will be hired to assist in recruiting and retaining internationally educated workers.
