A Black Lady Sketch ShowThe brainchild of co-executive producers Thede and Rae, the forthcoming series is a quick-paced narrative sketch show “set in a limitless magical reality full of dynamic, hilarious characters,” per, with an all-black female core cast at its center, including Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis and Quinta Brunson.
As shown in the trailer, the show will feature a rotating roster of special guests, including—take a deep breath—Rae, Laverne Cox, Kelly Rowland, Lena Waithe, Tia Mowry,Some of the sketches teased in the trailer include a self-identifying bad bitch support group , a lewd game of Never Have I Ever, some sort of parking garage shootout, a viral marriage proposal and an ill-fated hiking trip that ends in Brunson falling off the side of a mountain.
