Having a baby in Texas mostly below national average, new data shows

While Texas isn't the most expensive state to deliver a bundle of joy, it isn't the cheapest either, according to newly released data., a nonprofit that tracks data in the health care community, published a map showing how much it costs to give birth in each state. The data shows the median costs of vaginal and cesarean section births, both for those who are uninsured or out-of-network and for in-network insurance.
