Dumbledore is a major character throughout the entire series of children's novels as well as the expanded universe of movies adapted from them. When Harry Potter first meets Dumbledore, the elderly wizard is the headmaster of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The Different Versions of Albus Dumbledore Explained From the design of the costume and especially the beard, it seems that this cosplay has drawn inspiration from the Michael Gambon portrayal of Dumbledore. However, Gambon was not the first actor to play the role. He was brought on once the original performer, Richard Harris, passed away between the production of 2002's Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and 2004's Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Most recently, Dumbledore has been portrayed by Jude Law in the Fantastic Beasts prequel trilogy. During the events of 2018's The Crimes of Grindelwald and 2022's The Secrets of Dumbledore, the character is presented in the days before being promoted from Hogwarts professor to headmaster, in which he struggles with his long-ago promise not to interfere with the actions of the dark wizard Grindelwald.
