New Harry Potter AI art imagines the J.K. Rowling novels being directed by Wes Anderson, giving the franchise a colorful and quirky new look.

It isn't easy to imagine what a Wes Anderson Harry Potter movie would look like, but one example of AI art reveals an exact replica of Anderson's work. Since his directorial debut with 1996's Bottle Rocket, Anderson has become well-known for his bright and quirky style to bring a number of grounded storylines to life on the big screen.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT While it may be difficult to pair that style to the world of Harry Potter, Panorama Channel took to Instagram to show off how AI could display that reality. It isn't the first time that Harry Potter AI art has presented a completely different reality, but it does raise new questions about the style of the Harry Potter movies.

Could A Bright And Colorful Harry Potter Work? Considering the whimsical nature of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it does seem like an odd choice to have the movies slowly drift to darkness. While the first movie had considerable light and humor, later films were colored blue and black, thanks to Voldemort's rise to power. Everything being draped in shadow blended well with the horrifying rise of an evil creature who intended to purge the world of anyone deemed less-than-perfect.

Voldemort's dark and evil plans needed a dark atmosphere, but that doesn't mean that Harry Potter's world has to be dark and dreary. There can still be light in the world, even with a monster waiting to tear down Hogwarts and control the lives of its students. Anderson's movies tend to be surreal enough that they can still lend well to the horror of Voldemort, while also keeping things somewhat light.

Despite having a devoted following throughout its run and in the years since, the Harry Potter movies aren't the end of the franchise. With the controversial Harry Potter reboot on the way, there is still a chance for the Wizarding World to add some bright and quirky color to its directorial style. If it incorporates elements from Anderson's movies, it could very well end with a product that replicates the effect of these AI images well.
