Kewell has worked under both managers in a short space of time and admits he sees more of himself reflected in Brendan Rodgers.
Harry Kewell says it was a delight working under Ange Postecoglou - but sees more of himself in Brendan Rodgers' philosophy.
Former Liverpool and Leeds striker Kewell was brought to Celtic by Postecoglou but stayed on as part of a fully retained backroom team after he left for Tottenham. He's been a key part of Rodgers' staff since he took the reins for a second time and admits it's been an eye-opener working under two great managers this early in his coaching journey.
But if given the choice between the two, the Aussie says he's loving the Rodgers way for him as he digs into the nuanced tactical approach the Irishman takes to games. Kewell, who has only been in the job since June 2022, said on the Celtic FC Podcast: "You would probably expect to work with a manager for at least three to four years before there's a change.
"I enjoyed working with Ange, his ideas of football were great. He knew exactly what he wanted and the way he presented it was clear-cut. It wasn't even black and white, it was just straight black. There you go. That's how clear he was. "Now, being able to work with Rodgers, it's different. In a way I see myself more like a Brendan Rodgers type of manager. He looks at the game in a different way, he likes to adapt certain things and make tactical changes. It's enjoyable seeing this side of it. It's early, we're still picking up his ideas, but they're quite clear."
