The Harrisburg Bureau Police said on Friday that it has received an increase in notifications pertaining to residents receiving phone calls from people alleging to be Harrisburg Police officers.
“The callers are advising the residents that they have warrants and are to go to a certain location to address the alleged warrants,” police said in a statement. “These calls are scams and are not from officers with the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. If you receive a similar phone call, please do not engage in any dialog with the caller and immediately terminate the call. "
