The Evolved Harlem Merchants Coalition in conjunction with the office of City Council District 9 are honoring artist “Franco the Great” on Sunday, Oct. 30 from 3 pm to 6 pm at The Senegalese Association located at 209 W. 116th Street in Harlem.
This event will honor Franco for his contributions through his art on the security gates on 125th street. This led him to be known as “the man who made Harlem beautiful”.
The event is also celebrating his recent 94th birthday. He will be presented with proclamations from NYC Council member Kristin Richardson Jordan’s office, New York State Senator Cordell Cleare’s office and US Congressman Adriano Espaillat’s office.
