How do you stay sane and also keep abreast of current events?
Still, it’s no wonder if you feel like you’re losing your mind. You’re only human, after all, and pandemics, skyrocketing inflation and a broken political system are scary things, as are hearing and reading all about them. Instead, the key to sanity lies in moderating how, when and in what quantities you’ll receive the news. Also, you may want to find things to do -- hobbies or other distractions -- that can help keep you from dwelling on all the bad things happening around us.
When the latter happens, it’s horrific scene, but hosing off the mower can also be distracting in its own way.
