“He’s amazing. He’s been like that [as] he’s been a four-year starter for me. He manages to come through at the right time,” Stevens coach Anthony Boykin said.Stevens’ opening drive concluded with a 35-yard touchdown run by Brashears, who had 60 yards rushing on the nine-play drive. The Panthers put together a solid 14-play drive on their first possession of the second quarter, but settled for a 31-yard field goal from Aiden Nanez.
O’Connor rallied, scoring a pair of touchdowns before the half. The first came off a 12-play drive, ending with a 4-yard touchdown from Aaron Olivas. The second came from a pass from quarterback Aidan Lara to Daniel Edeni who went 63 yards to the end zone, putting the Panthers ahead 17-14.
