David Maison, 44, was visiting Edinburgh for a birthday night away with his partner and decided to check into the four-star Malmaison Hotel in Leith.
A guest staying at a plush Scots hotel was left disgusted after finding an 'army of ants' crawling around his room.He then noticed several more before picking up his towel to find 'dozens' of ants. It's believed the insects appeared from a crack in the tiles.
"We went out for the night on Saturday and it wasn't until the morning I noticed what I thought was a fly on the floor and I then saw a second one around towels and clothes then I picked them up and there was just a swarm of them. After checking out and heading downstairs for breakfast, he notified a member of staff. David, who works in customer service with BT, then uploaded a video of the ants in his bathroom to social media.
