Gregg has said that he is appalled at the offence caused following his exit from the show
Gregg Wallace has spoken out at claims he allegedly offended female staff members after he quit BBC's Inside the Factory, it has been reported. The MasterChef star decided to step back from his role earlier this year so he could look after his young son.
Gregg has now said that he is “appalled” at the offence caused. An insider told The Times: “He was rude towards staff and continued to talk in a derogatory manner, especially to women. He was given a talking-to and was appalled that he had caused such offence. Speaking to The Times in June, Gregg said: “I’ve enjoyed doing [Inside the Factory] for a number of years and I’ve done hundreds of factories. I use humour to relax people. It’s a tool I’ve used for lots of years. I never, ever set out to upset or offend anybody and I never would. It makes me upset that I might have upset people.”
